So here it is, my first mobile blog (misspellings aplenty due to my innability to write on a touch screen, call me a traditionalist but let's hear it for the humble button). Not going to correct any of this so you can get a real feel for the frustration.
So o am again on my way to Flash on th Beach '09, thanks Skive! I wad down there on Monday for some geeky flashery and one pound larger drinkery, thanks Audio. Saw some speeches that were so far over my head that my neck started aching, during most of these I just wanted to ask these important Flash people whether they pronounced it Ad-obe or, the more common Ad-obe-ee? A question that has been on my mind since breaking my Photoshop virginity at college. But I held back my stupidity, collected the free tshirts/bags/pens/rubiks cubes/memorysticks/adobe shaped chocolates etc and waited for the good stuff which came with such ferocity I nearly lost an eye. Dr.WooHoo gave a great talk on cybernetics, cyber interactive arts and wowed the crowd with his extensive knowledge of 60's cybernetics which was surprisingly modern looking! Then we saw Hillman Curtis who showed us a great performance of 'burning down the house' by the Talking Heads he had directed, bizzare but very cool and enveloping. The final speaker of the day however Joel Gethin Lewis however stole the show with his working life biography. On tour with Massive Attack, Regent Street Christmas lights and a 2.5mil floor install in japan, just parts of his increddible CV and all before the end of his 20's. Will try to get some pics up but I've just found out I can't while i'm on the move, shitty. Here again now, gotta go J
