Just remembered seeing this gig/set/show on BBC 4 (what a channel) and just being absolutely blown away (pardon the pun) by not only Dizzy Gillespes top slinky brass magic and the bassists perfect rhythm but Dizzys enormous hypnotic cheeks! You could fit a couple of hamsters in those babys! They actually push his collar out about an inch when he parps his trumpet!
P.S. Muchos appologias for leaving you guys hanging on Friday but, hey, it aint easy writing such an incredibly well thought out and coherent blog for the masses. Well actually it is but i want the respect anyway...
