Pork might fly...

Those of you lucky enough to travel to work on the beautifully air-conditioned and relaxing underground system may have seen this in todays Shortlist magazine, this post is for all you poor car/bike drivers out there. ‘Dinner in the Sky’ is pretty much a big table and chairs you are belted into and then drawn up 50m into the air, creating a ‘perfect eating enviroment’ (???). I went on their site (http://www.dinnerinthesky.com/) and found that they also do other ‘things in the sky’ (which I guess you would once you have shelled out for a massive crane and realise that your cold, wet and windy dining idea isn’t quite the masterplan you thought it might be). You can also ‘get married in the sky’, hold ‘meetings in the sky’, ‘showbizz in the sky’ (don’t ask) and by the looks of the pictures, and most ridiculously, play ‘POKER IN THE SKY’!?! If I have learned anything in my years out card playing its that cards wind are a no no, especially as if you drop one you would (all) have to travel at least 50m to get it back. I can’t help but think that Theo Pathitis would laugh this right out of the Den and if its not good enough for him, it certainly ain’t good enough for me.
Il do a bungee jump in the morning then have dinner later thanks...

The most amazing treehouse in zee world...

The most amazing treehouse in the world. Constructed on top of about ten trees, constructed from of about a thousand. I can't help but think we have a lesson to learn here...

interesting fact of the day... (utterly debatable)

Mark Wahlberg (The Departed, Max Payne, Three Kings etc) has a third nipple, which apparrently sometimes even lactates

Its time for another great inspiring illustrator post...

Yuko Shimizu is a New york based illustrator, from Japanese heritage, who seems to have a hair fetish (see the 'sex' section of her site). Shes done alot of stuff in advertising, I actually found her after liking the illustrations for the Tiger beer print ads and sherlocking her down. There, not quite a biography but it'll do.

a great, cosy game...

http://machinarium.net/demo/
Really similar ambient point and click style to another web game I played a few years ago where you are a little white elf character with a dog that crash lands on a little planet. the backgrounds are made from photos of moss and tree bark etc. Anyone remember that? would love to play it again...

Super Mario has sold out...

Saw Mario outside an italian restaurant in the Oxford circus area, says he cant pay the bills on just 90 billion YEN and has to hold this pizza shovel with a menu on to earn alittle extra cash... poor guy.

Cassetteboy strikes again...

Following the success of his Alan Sugar vid (along with a lot of other things) comes this Griffen re-edit.

My brush in with his holyness (s)...

So, saw Jesus on the cross this morning (some photoshoot amidst the crowds) in a bleary-eyed walk from Oxford Circus to work and in the very same scene/frame of my vision saw Brian Blessed... BLESSED! more than just a coincidence? Is Brain Blessed God?

A nice morning greeting...

Walking to work and found this little masterpiece along the entire tunnel floor at Herne Hill station this morning. Good work, things like that make people smile and inspire creativity which i'm all for. Nice one Mr. Hill.

Another dream question...

So I woke this morning after having a nice dream about something which I instantly forgot but still had this song in my head, Josh Rouse - Sparrows Over Birmingham (ok ive just had a look for it on youtube but cant bloody find it but... try THIS), which begs the question... Do dreams have soundtracks? or even any noise at all? I was under the impression they were silent and in black and white (but that could very well be dogs vision). Either way I had this track ingrained into me from the second I woke up and, although I do have this song, strangly I haven't heard it for some time.

What does it mean!?

nnnnnn..eed.......more......beeeeeeeeeeerrrr......

Here's what I was laughing at on Friday...

This poor chap just wants a few brews to slow the tempo, trouble is it looks as if he has just drunk his own weight in Absinthe and cant seem to make out which way up is...

EMBED-Drunkest Guy Ever Goes for More Beer - Watch more free videos

A musical genius posted for all the wrong reasons...

Just remembered seeing this gig/set/show on BBC 4 (what a channel) and just being absolutely blown away (pardon the pun) by not only Dizzy Gillespes top slinky brass magic and the bassists perfect rhythm but Dizzys enormous hypnotic cheeks! You could fit a couple of hamsters in those babys! They actually push his collar out about an inch when he parps his trumpet!

P.S. Muchos appologias for leaving you guys hanging on Friday but, hey, it aint easy writing such an incredibly well thought out and coherent blog for the masses. Well actually it is but i want the respect anyway...

Best ad of the year...

London Pride

I met this dummy collecting biker dude at the weekend while drunkenly bumbling through Camden on my way to the bus stop at about 2am. Iv’e actually only just realised i’ve got this pic on my phone…

He gave me an idea, I’m going to take a picture of all the crazy looking people I see (in a kinda Vice mag Do’s and Don’ts esque manner) and create a huge montage of Londons finest freaky folk… Londons Pride.

Help me out, if you get the chance, if you see a likely looking lumbering loon on the streets at any point take a pic and send him/her to jjdentoncreative@googlemail.com

Help the cause, lets do an art.

Muinto obrigado

Paper, pencil and dead things...

See the whole collection at 'one large prawn'... HERE.

I particularly like the moth-man and his son image, kinda sweet. will be trying this out myself soon.
So anyway, I have a garden spider (the camoflaged looking ones, now the black hairy ones that skittle around and cause hysteria) in my room to catch the flies, named Clarence. He has been staying with me for about a month now and he's growing like a weed. Does anyone know how long spiders live? comment me.

BLAP!

An instant office classic (thanks Dan,Dan and Matt for bringing this blappery to my attention)...
So... Urban Dictionary are now doing these wonderful definitions printed on mugs, and there's even a little bit of creativity involved!

check it out... (and my lovely girlfriend will probably hate me for this, sorry babe) HERE.

Dinosaurs come back into my life, 20 years on...

I fully thought the baby T-rex was CG when it scampered on at the start! Really believable (apart from the extra set of knees, which I guess in a propper show would be better hidden, black tights and background sort of affair). So it seems that kids of today arent all computer games and actually do have some cool things after all.... still not better than Bowoods death slide though.

Guru 'Osho' tells it how it is...

If you have never heard of this man, let me enlighten you (well Wikipiedia).

"If you really want to know who I am, you have to be as absolutely empty as I am. Then two mirrors will be facing each other, and only emptiness will be mirrored. Infinite emptiness will be mirrored: two mirrors facing each other. But if you have some idea, then you will see your own idea in me." – Osho

Growing pains...

So... It's my birthday next week.
Assuming I live to the ripe old age of 100 years (which I obviously will as I don't drink, don't smoke, don't take drugs and my diet is pretty much Gillian MK's wet dream), I will very soon be a quarter of a century old.
Bit nervous as in actual fact the last bracketed statement isn't necessarily all true. So Lets say I live to 75, I will be two thirds of the way though my life! Very scary.
What if I get disabled or go blind or get a physically disabling disorder of some type? I could only have 25 years of the good life left...
Chances are I could even get run over by a bus or a organ grinding monkey in the next few days...

I'd better have a good week I guess.

So much pressure...

PEANUT BUTTER HAS ITS DAY!!!!

Anyone who knows me will know that I love peanut butter and get through a hell of a lot of it. On toast/crumpets/bagels (best on muffins with butter), with cheese with marmite, with mayonaise, with olives and basicly with anything. I eat it on its own by the jar. I am peanut butter. Almost every week there is another shocker about the things that we eat e.g. milk gives you cancer and ALL the things that people love the most (ice cream, pizza, alcohol, cake etc etc) are the worst things for you. WELL... I LOVE PEANUT BUTTER...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1195453/Peanut-butter-wards-heart-disease-say-scientist.html

stoked.

P.S. if you are considering giving me a peanut butter related gift (10/10/84.. ahem), please KEEP IT SAVOURY. chocolate and peanut butter? No thankyou very much.

The 'Jordan: History of Flight' site... a homage to the best 'MJ' left

I am a huge fan of the earlier Jordan shoes Nike have created for number 23. Check out this great site which showcases every years design from the mighty 'Jordan' series.

CHECK IT.

Bouncing here and there and everywhere...

Gummy bears. The foundation of the sweetie world. Until now we have been cramming our faces with as much haribo jelly as possible in a hope that we would reach 'that next level' in sugary highs. Only now can you achive the ultimate sugar rush... and have tranlucent poos.

"The World's Largest Gummy Bear is the lion of the candy world. There is no candy more magnificent or more powerful. This five-pound beast is the equivalent of 1,400 regular sized gummy bears and packs a whopping 12,600 calories.

Its monstrous size is only matched by its enormous taste. The World's Largest Gummy Bear tastes just as delicious as its pint-sized counterpart."

P.S. Pint-sized counterpart? Some rather confused copy there. A creative of my calibre would never make such a booboo.
